The Weaver’s Tale (2007)

Colonel’s Galop (2014)

Colonel’s Galop was commissioned by Franklin Norris and the Meigs Academic Magnet Wind Ensemble for their 2014 Tennessee Music Educators Association performance. In the beginning, I had planned as an inside joke, to hide a quote from “My Old Kentucky Home”, since Franklin is from Kentucky. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I had been affected by band directors and band programs in The Bluegrass State. Mentors like Joe Allen and Craig Cornish, and so many great band programs from Kentucky helped set a standard for excellence, that I felt it only appropriate to use the state song as the ground work for this piece.

This recording is the Meigs Academic Magnet Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Rich Ripani.

Price: $100 (includes printed parts and 11×17 score)

Fanfare for the Future (2019)

I began writing Fanfare for the Future in preparation for a recruiting event. The piece was intended to be simple enough to be rehearsed on one day and present that night at a Concert for Parents. Having never taught at the Middle School level, I asked a friend to take a look at it and let me know if he felt it was appropriate. What happened next was its expansion to a full fledged concert piece.

Price: $85 (includes printed parts and 11×17 score)
