Written in 2007 after the passing of a dear friend, The Weaver’s Tale is a folksong ballad, written paying homage not only to my dearly departed friend, but also to Percy Grainger, who to this day, still has a huge influence on me as a composer. The piece features Oboe, but also has optional Clarinet, Soprano Sax and Alto Sax parts if a suitable Oboe is not available.

This recording was conducted by Dr. Stephen Pratt at Indiana University.
